Why You Should Never Chase Away This Creature If You Find One Inside Your House

Some animals seem to have superpowers — and geckos are a perfect example. With their sticky toe pads, they can effortlessly cling to walls and ceilings.

They also have exceptional night vision. Unfortunately, many people want to get rid of them when they appear in gardens. But here are some important reasons why you should let them stay.

First, geckos eat harmful insects like cockroaches, moths, flies, spiders, termites, and even wasps. They act as natural pest controllers, reducing the need for toxic chemicals.

Second, their presence is a sign that your garden is environmentally healthy. Geckos are sensitive to pollution and chemicals, so if they choose your garden, it likely means the area is safe and natural.

Third, unlike birds, geckos won’t snack on your fruits or vegetables. While birds can damage your crops while feeding on pests, geckos only target insects, helping protect your plants.

Finally, house geckos are harmless to humans. Though they may look odd and sometimes make chirping sounds at night, they are non-venomous and not dangerous. In fact, they quietly provide a valuable service by keeping the insect population under control.
