A Florida man, known as “Lieutenant Dan,” refused to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Milton and chose to ride out the storm on his 20-foot sailboat anchored in Tampa Bay. As the hurricane battered the region with 100 mph winds, heavy rains, and severe flooding, many feared for his safety.
