Trump admin to cut off undocumented immigrants from over 15 federal aid programs: ‘It’s America first’

Trump Administration Moves to Block Undocumented Immigrants from Federal Benefits, WASHINGTON, DC — The Trump administration has unveiled a major policy restricting undocumented immigrants from accessing over 15 federal assistance programs, including those for health, education, and workforce development.

White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers said the move aligns with the “America First” agenda, aiming to reserve benefits for “hardworking American taxpayers.” The affected programs cost over $40 billion annually and include Head Start, substance abuse treatment, family planning, and certain health profession scholarships.

The policy is part of broader immigration enforcement and budget-cutting efforts. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized that Medicaid, too, will be restricted — excluding about 1.4 million undocumented immigrants to prevent “waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Online reactions were swift and largely supportive among Trump’s base, with many calling the change long overdue and praising it as a win for taxpayers and legal residents.
