Dr. Kelly Powers, a Fox News medical contributor and highly regarded surgeon, has died at age 45 after battling glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. She passed away Sunday in New Jersey, according to an obituary from Holmdel Funeral Home.
Born May 13, 1979, in Yonkers, Powers built a respected career in medicine and media, earning multiple degrees and completing surgical training at Georgetown and Boston University. She became a trusted TV voice on health issues, appearing on Fox News, CNN, CBS, and Fox Business.
Powers was first diagnosed in 2020 after collapsing during a live broadcast. Despite three brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, she welcomed her son, Bennett, during treatment. She is survived by her husband, Steven Doll, and their son. Her obituary calls her “a brave and beautiful soul.”
