This house looked like it was about to fall into itself until one family stepped in

Over 130 years old, this house, built in 1887, was once so dilapidated it was deemed unsafe to enter. For decades, no one dared to buy it—until locals Jim and Jean Leaman saw its potential. Captivated by its classic architecture, the retired couple decided to restore the crumbling structure.

After five years of relentless effort, they transformed the ruin into a stunning home. The result is almost magical, especially inside, where it feels like stepping into a Harry Potter movie. Vibrant stained glass illuminates floors crafted from five types of wood, while each of the five uniquely decorated bedrooms on the second floor offers its own charm.

A cozy attic room serves as the perfect office space, and every corner exudes warmth and character. Though it took immense work, time, and investment, Jim and Jean’s dedication brought this once-forgotten house back to life.
