Our Granddaughter Pretended Not To Know Us When We Saw Her at the Restaurant With a Man — Her Reason Shocked Us

Evelyn and George’s peaceful life is disrupted when they spot their granddaughter, Emily, at a fancy restaurant. Excitedly, Evelyn waves to Emily, but Emily pretends not to know them, saying, “Who are you people? Please, leave me and my friend alone.”

Confused and hurt, they leave, but their neighbor Abigail reveals she saw Emily arguing with the same man recently. That night, Emily calls, crying and asking for forgiveness. She explains, “My boss thinks you’re both dead! I lied to get time off work.”

Emily reveals her boss pressured her to do unethical things. She admits, “I couldn’t keep up, and I needed an excuse, so I said I needed to attend your funerals.” Emily regrets her actions and decides to quit her job for a healthier environment.

Evelyn and George forgive her, saying, “We’re here for you, always.” The family reconciles, and Emily finds strength to make better choices, knowing her grandparents’ love and support are unwavering.
