Mother and daughter live in a surprising container

Lulú, a young mother, turned a 15-square-meter shipping container into a cozy home for herself and her daughter. After becoming pregnant, she struggled to afford rent despite working full-time, which left her with little time for her child. Prioritizing quality time, Lulú spent just \$4,000 to transform the container, adding a porch, garden, kitchen window, and even expanding it with a trailer for extra space. Her daughter now has her own play area.

Reflecting on her journey, Lulú says, “When you don’t have money, it’s better to be creative. It’s about how we choose to spend the hours of our lives.” Her story highlights resilience, creativity, and the power of love, showing that even in tough circumstances, there’s room for imagination and growth.
