Miranda Lambert Stops Concert Again, Breaks Silence on ‘Selfie Controversy’

Miranda Lambert, despite public criticism, remains unapologetic for confronting a fan during her Vegas residency. While performing “Tin Man,” she paused mid-song to call out an audience member taking a selfie. Lambert remarked, “These girls are more worried about their selfie than the song, and it’s pissing me off… We’re here for country music.”

The fan quickly put her phone away as the crowd applauded Lambert’s remarks. At another show, Lambert pointed out a fan wearing a shirt that read, “Shoot tequila, not selfies,” quipping, “She did it, I didn’t!” This stirred further backlash, with some accusing her of shaming her supporters.

Adela Calin, the fan involved in the selfie incident, shared her perspective, feeling belittled by Lambert’s comments. She explained they only took the picture briefly before sitting down and described the experience as being scolded like a child. Calin felt unfairly characterized as immature when they were simply trying to preserve a special moment.
