If You Spot These Eggs in Your Garden, Act Immediately!

What do I hate more than ticks? Let me think… Ah, last summer, I had the pleasure of dealing with many of them up close. My dog seemed to attract ticks like a magnet, and I had to painstakingly remove them with tweezers. Thankfully, my friend was there, though her idea of support was watching from a safe distance. Ticks are disgusting and scary, and I’d rather not see them again. The thought of tick eggs only adds to my horror.

For those unfamiliar, ticks are tiny, blood-sucking pests that spread diseases like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. If you find a tick, don’t panic. Use fine-tipped tweezers to pull it out gently, avoiding any breakage. After removal, wash the bite area and your hands with alcohol or soap. Dispose of the tick properly.

If you discover tick eggs, which are small and reddish-brown, handle them carefully. Place them in alcohol to kill them and clean the area thoroughly. Prevent tick problems by keeping your lawn trimmed, using repellents, and treating pets.
