Abbie’s world turns upside down when her husband, Matthew, vanishes, leaving a cryptic note: “Don’t search for me.” Frantic, she contacts his mother, Claire, and his best friend, James, but no one knows where he is. The police say they can’t search for him due to the note. Days of uncertainty pass, and Abbie tries to keep things normal for her kids, who repeatedly ask, “Where’s Daddy?”
One day, Claire calls, revealing, “Matthew is here with his mistress and their newborn baby. He plans to divorce you and take money from your joint account.” Abbie is stunned but determined to protect her children. She consults a lawyer and freezes the accounts.
Unexpectedly, Matthew’s mistress, Lisa, reaches out, saying she didn’t know about his plans to abandon Abbie and wants to help. She provides evidence of Matthew’s deceit. With this information, Abbie and her lawyer secure her finances.
Finally, Abbie confronts Matthew with the help of the authorities, saying, “We know everything. Your lies, your betrayal, and your plans.” The police serve him with legal papers, and Abbie, supported by Claire and Lisa, begins to rebuild her life.
