High school track athlete fatally stabbed and ‘dies in twin’s arms’ in horrific incident at championship meet

Austin Metcalf, a 17-year-old track athlete from Frisco ISD, tragically died after being stabbed during a championship event on April 2, 2025. According to his father, Jeff Metcalf, an argument over seating between Austin and another student led to the stabbing.
