Savannah Combs, a first-time mother, was overjoyed to learn she was expecting identical twins. However, the news that both girls had Down Syndrome initially shocked her. Yet, Savannah quickly embraced the uniqueness of her daughters, believing they would be “super special.”

When faced with negative comments about her twins, she responded with grace, reinforcing her love for them. “It’s very rare what they have, but they’ve been my little gems,” she shared. After the twins, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli, were born five weeks premature and spent time in the NICU, Savannah and her husband Justin began documenting their journey on TikTok, gaining a supportive following.

In a powerful video, Savannah revealed how doctors advised terminating the pregnancy due to survival concerns, but she chose to fight for her girls. Now nine months old, the twins are thriving and show that having Down Syndrome doesn’t define them.
