Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, has been arrested in connection with the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was fatally shot on September 10 during a public event at Utah Valley University, where he was speaking as part of his Turning Point USA tour. The FBI and Utah authorities launched an intensive manhunt, and Robinson was taken into custody on September 11 after a tip from a family member.
The tip that led to Robinson’s arrest came from a relative who said Robinson had either confessed or implied involvement in the shooting. That relative reached out to a family friend, who then contacted law enforcement. Robinson’s father also reportedly saw a surveillance photo and worked with a pastor to help facilitate his son’s surrender.
