Father Hides Letter Addressed to Daughter from Her Boyfriend, She Finds It Years Later – Story of the Day

While cleaning her father’s room, Judith discovered letters from her ex-boyfriend, Dev, who she dated during his exchange at NYU. She thought he had moved on, and now she had to confront her father to hear the shocking truth.

Judith returned to her father’s house in suburban Manhattan after dropping off her son at high school. In-between homes due to her divorce, she had married Matthew under her father’s insistence, believing it was the best choice due to his wealth. But money couldn’t sustain their marriage, leading to separation.

Back home, Judith began cleaning to relax. In her father’s bedroom, she found a drawer with crumpled letters from Dev. They had planned a future together, but Dev’s letters revealed he never moved on. Her father intercepted their letters, forcing Judith into an unhappy marriage with Matthew.

Dev’s letters were hidden, and her father admitted to forging a breakup letter. Dev, now happily married in California, confirmed her father’s deceit. Judith never forgave her father and vowed to live life on her own terms.
