Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” Dies at 78

Phil Robertson, beloved patriarch of Duck Dynasty and founder of Duck Commander, passed away on May 25, 2025, at age 78. His family shared the news on social media, expressing comfort in their faith and belief that he is now with the Lord.

Son Jase Robertson and granddaughter Sadie Robertson Huff remembered his spiritual strength, with Sadie recalling his last words to her: “Full strength ahead!” Grandson Will Robertson honored Phil’s legacy and faith with a childhood photo tribute.

Phil had battled early-stage Alzheimer’s and a blood disorder, while his wife Kay recently recovered from a serious infection.

Despite these hardships, the family announced a revival of Duck Dynasty, with a new 20-episode series in the works.
