A tragic collision occurred near Carberry, Manitoba, on January 16, 2025, when a bus carrying elderly passengers to a casino collided with a truck at an intersection. The crash, which happened about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg, resulted in at least 15 fatalities. Ten other passengers are being treated in hospitals. Both drivers survived, but the police have not yet determined fault. Images from the scene revealed the devastation, with destroyed wheelchair seats and walking frames.
