Barbra Streisand, the renowned singer and performer, recently reiterated her intention to leave the country if Donald Trump wins the presidency again. During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she expressed her distaste for living under Trump’s leadership. When asked where she might go, she casually replied, “Probably England, I like England.”
This isn’t the first time Streisand has made such a statement; prior to the 2016 election, she mentioned considering a move to Canada if Trump won. Like many other celebrities, she ultimately chose to stay in the U.S. after the election.
Streisand has been a vocal critic of Trump, referring to him as the “Liar in Chief” and expressing deep regret over his election victory. Her 2018 album Walls included the song “Don’t Lie to Me,” which condemned the spread of misinformation.
In 2021, she described Trump’s presidency as “four years in a black hole,” emphasizing the importance of honesty in leadership, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.
