A woman crept beneath the bed to spy on her husband.

Frustrated by her husband’s constant delays, the woman left a note ending their relationship and hid, eagerly awaiting his response. Peeking from beneath the bed, she witnessed him read the note, hesitate, then make a mysterious phone call. Anticipation filled her as he spoke in hushed tones, only catching a hint of a smirk in his voice. Doubt crept in, realizing she might have acted impulsively.

Weeks later, he nervously dialed a number, yearning for his lover’s voice. Imagining her in a French nightgown, he expressed love and anticipation. Unbeknownst to him, she overheard, and as he left to meet his mistress, she discovered the note’s unexpected twist: a simple request for bread. Furious and tearful, she realized the true nature of the situation, leaving her standing alone in the aftermath of a misinterpreted moment.
