California Senator Adam Schiff is considering rejecting a pardon granted by President Joe Biden to members of the January 6th Committee, including himself. In an interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Schiff expressed concerns about the political implications of accepting the pardon, as it could be perceived as an admission of guilt. He shared that he had informed the White House of his preference not to receive a pardon, but now that one has been issued, he is uncertain about how to reject it. Schiff noted that this situation is unprecedented and the legal options are unclear. He confirmed that the committee would discuss the matter collectively but suggested that unless there is an effort to prosecute them, the pardon may not be actionable.
