A devastating fire broke out early in the morning at the Grand Kartal hotel, a 12-story, four-star resort in Kartalkaya, Bolu, Turkey, killing 66 people and injuring at least 51 more. The fire started around 3:30 a.m. in the hotel’s restaurant. Many victims tragically died after jumping from the building in panic, while others attempted to escape using sheets and blankets to climb down. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the death toll, while Governor Abdulaziz Aydin provided further details on the victims. This tragic disaster has deeply impacted the nation as Turkey mourns the loss of life.
