Wyoming university students killed in Colorado highway crash

Three University of Wyoming student athlete swimmers, Carson Muir, Charlie Clark, and Luke Slabber, tragically lost their lives in a Colorado highway crash. The accident occurred on Highway 287 near Fort Collins, prompting an outpouring of condolences from the university community.

The fatal crash happened when the vehicle carrying the students veered off the road and rolled multiple times. While two other team members sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Muir, Clark, and Slabber did not survive.

The University of Wyoming and Colorado State Patrol are investigating the accident, with no specific cause determined yet. The tragedy has deeply impacted the university, with students and faculty offering support to the grieving families and the swim team.

Tom Burman, the Wyoming Athletic Director, called for prayers and support for the families, emphasizing the unity of the Wyoming and Colorado communities during this difficult time.

The loss of these promising young athletes has left many devastated, and thoughts are with their families and the University of Wyoming community as they mourn this heartbreaking loss.
