Judson Keith Hoover, 50, pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife, 38-year-old Rebecca Ruth Hoover, shortly after being charged. Rebecca was last seen on August 2, and Judson filed for divorce the following day. The case came to light when the couple’s 8-year-old son revealed to a school counselor that he witnessed his father kill his mother. After Rebecca was reported missing on August 4, a forensic interview and investigation led to the discovery of her body. Surveillance footage showed Judson moving a body and later returning to a storage unit. He admitted to transferring Rebecca’s body to another unit in Louisville. Judson entered a guilty plea to avoid his son testifying in court.
