Wife Cra shes Car Again—Wait Until You Hear What the Cops Said!

My wife had another car mishap today. She was visibly upset when the police arrived, insisting the man she hit was completely reckless.

“He was on his phone!” she fumed, her frustration growing. “And to make matters worse, he was sitting there, drinking a beer!”

The officer listened carefully, clearly trying not to laugh at the situation. After a brief pause, he responded calmly, “Ma’am, he’s allowed to do that… in his own living room.”

At that point, it clicked. My wife had collided with the man’s parked car, not realizing he was safely sitting in his own driveway. She had been so caught up in the stress of the situation that she hadn’t noticed the car wasn’t moving at all.

Trying to contain her embarrassment, she apologized profusely. The officer, now suppressing a smile, reassured her that accidents happen. Though she was still a bit shaken, my wife couldn’t help but laugh at how she’d misinterpreted the entire scene.
