Kids Mock Needy Classmate for Cheap Halloween Costume until Principal Shows up Wearing the Same — Story of the Day

Levi was heartbroken when his parents couldn’t afford a new Halloween costume. His father, Darren, handmade a robot costume from cardboard, which delighted Levi. However, at the school’s fancy dress event, Levi’s classmates mocked his outfit, calling it “colored cardboard” and making him cry.

When Levi hid backstage, the school principal, Mr. Frederick, appeared on stage wearing a matching robot costume. “Where is my fellow robot?” he called, reassuring Levi. “I love your outfit! Your dad spends love on you, which is more important than just spending money.”

Inspired by the principal’s support, Levi joined him on stage and won the competition, his unique costume standing out among the crowd. The children who had teased him apologized, and Levi shared his prize candies, saying, “Let’s not be mean to others.”

The principal reminded the kids, “We must stand up for each other and encourage the good.” Levi learned that love and kindness matter more than wealth.
