10 Years after Robin Williams’ Death, His Friend Billy Connolly Opened up about the Actor’s Heartbreaking Final Words – Details

Robin Williams’ death on August 11, 2014, shocked and saddened fans worldwide. Recently, one of his close friends revealed the deeply emotional final words the beloved actor spoke, shedding light on his last moments.

Williams, known for his impressive range, earned Academy Award nominations for “Good Morning, Vietnam” (1987) and “The Fisher King” (1991), and won for “Good Will Hunting” (1997). Despite his professional success, he struggled with alcoholism. In 2014, he entered the Hazelden facility in Minnesota to reinforce his sobriety, though his stay was precautionary and not due to a relapse.

In a 2014 interview, Williams shared his battle with alcohol abuse and his struggle with addiction, describing the temptation as a “quiet voice” urging him to “jump.” He had previously overcome alcoholism and cocaine addiction in the 1980s, only to relapse.

Tragically, his widow, Susan Schneider, later revealed that Williams had been suffering from Lewy body dementia, a disease that complicated his condition and was only discovered posthumously. This revelation added to the heartache surrounding his passing, marking the end of a brilliant but troubled life.
