A woman walked miles in a thunderstorm to save her husband, but when she arrived at the service station, the manager refused to help.
It was a stormy night, and Tara Wilson was on duty at a gas station. Suddenly, a drenched, older woman stumbled in, begging for help. “Please, I need your help,” she gasped. Tara’s manager, Mr. Anderson, rudely dismissed her, thinking she was homeless. The woman explained, “My husband and I had a car accident, he’s lying unconscious on the road… All I ask is that you make a phone call!”
Tara tried calling 911 but found the lines were down. She decided to drive the woman to the accident scene. “Come on, Ma’am, I’ll drive you to him. We’ll take him to the hospital.” Mr. Anderson threatened to fire her, but Tara replied, “Go ahead, fire me. But I won’t leave a man dying by the roadside.”
At the scene, they found the woman’s husband seriously injured. Tara drove them to the hospital, where the doctors saved his life just in time. Grateful, the woman revealed they were the Smythes, and her husband owned the local TV station. Mr. Anderson was fired for his behavior, and Mr. Smythe hired Tara as a junior reporter.
Tara’s act of kindness changed her life, and she even started dating the handsome doctor who treated the Smythes.
