This Child Star Removed Her Implants, Fillers & Moved to a Countryside Home in the Mountains to Age Gracefully – Her Pics at 60

Melissa Gilbert, best known for playing Laura Ingalls Wilder on Little House on the Prairie, has undergone a profound transformation in her life. After decades in Hollywood, she left the spotlight for a simpler, more authentic existence. At 60, Gilbert has redefined aging on her own terms, focusing on self-acceptance and physical and emotional well-being.

Gilbert’s acting career began at a young age, with Little House making her a household name. Despite her fame, the pressures of Hollywood’s beauty standards led her to undergo cosmetic enhancements, including Botox and breast implants. However, a realization about her disconnection from her true self prompted a change. In 2013, she moved to Michigan, stopped cosmetic procedures, and embraced natural aging.

In 2018, she and her husband, actor Timothy Busfield, relocated to the Catskill Mountains, where they transformed a fixer-upper into a cozy sanctuary. Gilbert’s new life focuses on simplicity, raising chickens, and growing her own food.

In 2021, she co-founded Modern Prairie, a brand that empowers mature women to embrace aging. Through her journey, Gilbert has found joy in authenticity, family, and love, and continues to live life on her own terms.
