So, here I am, recounting the story that made me the family pariah for taking my grandkids to Disney World.
Ethan and his wife, Sarah, planned to attend a wedding in Mexico and asked me to babysit their kids, Lily (5) and Jack (4). Despite my initial reluctance, I agreed. During their absence, an invitation to Disney World came my way, and I took the grandkids, thinking it was a splendid opportunity.
Upon their return, Sarah was devastated. “You robbed me of a milestone,” she said, accusing me of taking away the experience of their first Disney trip.
