Without much warning, dark clouds rolled in, followed by powerful winds, flashes of lightning, and booming thunder. Then came the hail — massive chunks of ice, some the size of golf balls and even baseballs, pelting rooftops and cars with alarming force.

“The sound was like rocks slamming against the house,” one resident said, recalling the deafening noise. Within minutes, streets were blanketed in ice, branches, and debris as people rushed indoors for cover.
