It was a normal busy afternoon at the fast-food place where I worked. Customers rushed in and out, barely looking up, until I noticed a Louis Vuitton bag left on a table.
I waited, expecting someone to return, but no one did. I handed it to my manager, and it sat in our lost and found for a month. Finally, my boss said, “If no one’s claimed it, it’s yours.” I accepted, thinking luck had found me.
At home, I opened it, expecting money or a wallet — but inside was only a folded note: “True kindness is shown when no one is watching.”
That message stayed with me far longer than any designer bag ever could.
