In Surrey, a group of 12 children and their Yorkshire terrier, Molly, became national heroes after helping police capture two burglary suspects. While on an Easter egg hunt near Capel, the kids noticed a police helicopter searching overhead and a man running across a nearby field.
When shouting didn’t catch the pilot’s attention, two of the children brilliantly suggested forming a human arrow on the ground, pointing in the suspect’s direction. The pilot spotted their signal and guided officers to the fleeing men, both later arrested for burglary.
The video of the moment went viral, earning global praise. Surrey Police hailed the children’s quick thinking and teamwork, while parents called the scene “straight out of Scooby-Doo.” Heroes truly can come in all sizes — and with wagging tails.
