The NFL community is mourning former New York Jets center Nick Mangold, who died on October 26 at age 41, just two weeks after revealing he was battling chronic kidney disease. A seven-time Pro Bowler and cornerstone of the Jets’ offensive line, Mangold was known for his strength, humor, and leadership both on and off the field.

In a recent message, he had shared his need for a kidney donor and expressed gratitude for his family and fans. Jets owner Woody Johnson called him “the heartbeat of our offensive line and a beloved teammate.”

Mangold, a proud Ohio State Buckeye, is survived by his wife, Jenny, and their four children.

His legacy of grit, loyalty, and laughter will live on forever.
