Dr. Kelly Powers, a Fox News contributor known for her appearances on Red Eye and Fox Business, fought valiantly against a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer but succumbed to the illness on Sunday. She was 45 years old, according to the U.K.’s Daily Mail.
Born in Yonkers in 1979, Powers studied at Baruch College, the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and the University of San Francisco, later completing residencies at Georgetown and Boston University. She lived in Colts Neck with her husband, Steven Doll, and their young son, Bennett.
Powers was first diagnosed in 2020 after collapsing during a live Fox Business segment on heart health. Despite surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and even becoming a mother during treatment, her cancer returned in 2024. Friends raised nearly $100,000 for experimental care.
Her obituary described her as “a brave and beautiful soul” dedicated to helping others. A visitation will be held Thursday, with a funeral Friday at Tower Hill Church in Red Bank.
