Security expert warned Charlie Kirk he’d “100% be killed” at speaking event

Charlie Kirk, 31, co-founder of Turning Point USA and a leading conservative activist, was fatally shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

As part of his “American Comeback Tour,” Kirk was mid-response to a controversial question on mass shootings when a single gunshot rang out. He was struck in the neck and died shortly after in the hospital, leaving behind his wife and two young children.

Security expert Kris Herzog has since revealed that Kirk had been warned months earlier about the likelihood of an assassination attempt. Herzog, whose clients include high-profile celebrities, claims he advised Kirk in March to adopt serious protective measures, including bulletproof barriers, metal detectors, and police oversight of elevated areas. Kirk allegedly ignored the advice, a decision Herzog says led to his death.
