Last year, while cleaning my daughter’s closet, I decided to give away some gently used clothes for a 2–3-year-old girl. After posting, a woman messaged me, explaining she was struggling and asked if I could mail the clothes. I was hesitant at first but decided to help, sending the package at my own expense, unsure if I’d ever hear back.
Months passed with no word, and I began to wonder if I’d been scammed. Still, I felt it was worth it if the clothes helped someone in need.
Nearly a year later, a package arrived with a letter and photos of a smiling little girl wearing the clothes. The mother shared how much they meant to her during a difficult time and thanked me for my kindness.
Her words moved me deeply. That package reminded me how even small acts of compassion can make a lasting difference.
