My boyfriend always ‘forgets’ his credit card when we eat out, so I have to foot the bill

Most of us have probably experienced the occasional moment of forgetfulness—like leaving our wallet or credit card at home during a night out with family or friends. It’s a simple mistake that can happen to anyone. But when it becomes a recurring pattern, it starts to raise red flags.

One woman recently shared her experience on Reddit, questioning whether she was in the wrong for refusing to pay for her boyfriend’s and his daughters’ meals—again. According to her post, her boyfriend had “forgotten” his wallet more times than she could count, and she was growing tired of covering the bill.

They’d been dating for nine months, and during that time, she’d willingly stepped up when needed. However, his two daughters from a previous relationship had developed a taste for eating out regularly, and each time, he seemed to conveniently leave his credit card behind.
