Most of us have stayed at a hotel at some point in our life, and no matter if our experience has been a pleasant one or not, we’ve probably noticed the long strip of fabric lying across the foot of the beds and wondered about its purpose.

Well, if you are a frequent visitor of different hotels you are probably already familiar with the function it serves. However, those of you who believe it’s only there just to make the bed look better, you might be wrong.
