In 1977, a nurse saved a badly burned baby. 38 years later, she spots an old photo of herself on the social media and is stunned.

At just 3 months old, Amanda Scarpinati suffered severe burns after falling onto a steam vaporizer. She was treated at Albany Medical Center in 1977, where a kind nurse, Sue Berger, comforted her through the pain.

All Amanda had were photos of herself as a bandaged baby in Nurse Berger’s arms. Years later, after enduring bullying over her scars and undergoing many surgeries, she posted the photos on Facebook in hopes of finding the nurse who had shown her such compassion.

Thanks to the post, the nurse was found. In the emotional video below, Amanda and Sue reunite at the same hospital where they first met. It’s a touching moment you won’t want to miss.
