While former U.S. President Donald Trump is known for his love of fast food, his wife, Melania Trump, follows a much healthier diet.
At 78, Trump has a well-documented preference for McDonald’s meals and reportedly consumes up to 12 Diet Cokes daily. However, Melania takes a different approach, focusing on fresh, organic foods. She prioritizes nutrition by consuming at least seven servings of fruit per day and practices strict portion control. Her occasional indulgences include dark chocolate and ice cream.
Melania once shared her go-to breakfast smoothie recipe on Facebook, describing it as “delicious and healthy.” The smoothie contains spinach, carrots, blueberries, celery, apple, orange juice, lemon juice, fat-free yogurt, olive oil, flax seeds, omega-3, and vitamin D.
Each ingredient is packed with nutritional benefits. Spinach, blueberries, and carrots are rich in antioxidants, which help protect cells from damage and reduce inflammation. Carrots also provide fiber, vitamin A, and potassium. Flaxseeds are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support cell function and offer additional antioxidants and fiber. Even olive oil, though unusual in a smoothie, is loaded with anti-inflammatory properties.
Melania’s dietary choices contrast sharply with her husband’s. Trump has even served fast food at official events. During a 2019 White House celebration for the North Dakota State Bison college football team, he said, “We could have had chefs, but we got fast food because I know you people very well.”
Meanwhile, Melania’s smoothie recipe has been a hit with her fans. One person commented, “Thank you! It won’t make me as beautiful as you, but I hope it helps.” Another added, “I made this smoothie. It was great!”
Her approach to nutrition may not match her husband’s, but it certainly resonates with those seeking a healthier lifestyle.
