A tragic accident on February 21 has devastated the Climax Springs School District and the Missouri community. The crash claimed the lives of four people, including three young high school graduates, Ava Wolfe, Jayden Butterfield, and Violet Corado. They were returning home after watching a basketball game when their car collided with another vehicle at U.S. Highway 54.
The driver of the other car, a 38-year-old man, died at the scene. The three young women, full of potential and beloved by their community, tragically lost their lives. Ava and Jayden had been employees of the district, while Violet dreamed of becoming a high school English teacher.
The community is mourning deeply, with grief counselors made available for students and staff. A fundraiser has been set up to support the families. This heartbreaking incident serves as a painful reminder of the fragility of life, and the importance of road safety. Our thoughts are with the families during this difficult time.
