Donald Trump Tears Into CNN’s Kaitlan Collins

President Donald Trump provided an update on the deadly midair collision at Reagan National Airport, calling it a moment of “anguish” and confirming no survivors. He questioned the role of former President Joe Biden’s administration’s focus on DEI policies, which he claimed could have contributed to the disaster. Trump was pressed by reporters, especially CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, about getting ahead of the investigation by blaming DEI and air traffic controllers. He dismissed her questions, stating it wouldn’t comfort victims’ families. Trump also criticized Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, calling him a “disaster” and blaming his management for the poor handling of the Department of Transportation, especially regarding diversity initiatives. He appointed Christopher Rocheleau as acting commissioner of the FAA to lead the investigation.
